An Indigo Dip

2024 | Acrylic and Ink on Board | 16" x 22"

Flying over Florida was unlike any other place I have seen from above. The cluster of uniform sparkly communities around shorelines that seemed too perfectly shaped and the million hues of blue in the water are the inspiration for this piece. I used a color shifting paint for the water, so it changes from blue to turquoise to lime green to purple depending on the viewing angle. The senses Iā€™m experiencing are summery, leisurely and fresh.
